Dear CMEA Capitol Section Choral Teachers, I am delighted to serve as your Choral Rep for the Capitol Section CMEA and I look forward to working with you to promote choral music in our schools and community. I am looking forward to the Middle School and High School Honor Choirs this season and the deadline for application is Friday, October 1 so be sure to get your students registered by this date so they don't miss the opportunity of working with master teachers and choristers from our community. This year we have Linda Lovaas from Mark Twain Middle School in Modesto who will serve as our Conductor of the Middle School Honor Choir and we have engaged Ken Rawdon from Mt. Eden High School in Hayword to direct our High School Honor Choir. Both of these directors have sterling credentials and top notch choral programs. This will be such a great experience for us all as they are filled with ideas and techniques to draw the best from choristers. I am attaching the welcome letter and the application forms for you to complete and return. . Please respond asap to assist me in getting the repertoire and CD materials in your hands before Thanksgiving. I can do this if you meet my mandatory deadline. I can't include you after that date. I know you are busy with classes beginning now as I am also. I am counting on you to meet the deadlines and to get your kids on board with us. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to your response and to helping you. Best wishes for a great season! Donald Kendrick
